Required Supplies
Recommended fabrics: Wool, flannel, fleece, or minky (faux fur with a short pile)
¼ yard OR Fat Quarter (18”x22”) of white fabric for the face, tummy, underwings, and under-tail.
¼ yard OR Fat Quarter (18”x22”) of gray or brown fabric for the sides, back, wing tops, and tail top.
ONE Fat Eighth (9”x22”) of light gray or light brown fabric for the back of the head.
4”x4” square of non-fray fabric for the beak. Felt, fleece, faux leather, cork, etc.
TWO ½” to 5/8” (13mm-16mm) black buttons or safety eyes (or use hand embroidery floss to embroider closed eyes).
Your stuffing material of choice—batting scraps, Poly-Fil, etc. May choose to add Poly Pellets or walnut shells.
Hand sewing needle and thread that matches your side/back/wing fabric.
